In a major announcement printing solutions vendor Konica Minolta has entered the software-as-a-service market with the launch of its educo ERP targeted at educational institutes.
Konica Minolta India’s MD Yuji Nakata called this move as aligning with Konica Minolta process of transforming itself from a manufacturing company to a Customer Process Centric company.
“We are constantly looking at opportunities to add value to the core processes of our customers. We are celebrating this year as “The Year of Synergy” where we want to harness all our capabilities to deliver new value to our customers. Educo ERP is an ideal fit for creating new value,” he added.
Designed specifically to be used conveniently in schools, colleges, institutes, universities and training centres, Educo ERP provides access to information anywhere anytime on any device to administrators, teachers, students and parents. Educo ERP supports more than 20 languages.
He adds, “Educo ERP will help in the process of Digital India through its cutting edge technology. Educo ERP will enable institutions in the tier 2 and tier 3 cities at minimal cost and simple requirements of internet connection and a browser. Educo ERP has been conceptualised and developed in India and will address all core processes of the education boards in India. The need of private and public sector engaged in delivering education has been covered.”
To push this product into the market Konica Minolta will be taking multi-channel approach: direct and through partners. Kuldeep Malhotra, VP (sales division), Konica minolta, said, “We will be collaborating with our existing set of partners and also take on board new partners to reach PAN India. We are looking at those set of partners who are already into education, who will help us to penetrate into the education, plus the new set of partners as well. Our target as of now is 50 partners.”
He further announced they already in talks with Institutes and will once it discloses its product in the market and the pricing.
