SOTI charts aggressive India plans, to invest USD 12M in two years

Enterprise mobility management firm SOTI Inc. has charted an aggressive market growth strategy for expanding and strengthening its India presence. In addition to investing USD 12M in the India market and adding more than 350 more employees to its team, the company is foreseeing a 400% growth in the next two years.

These plans were announced today by the CEO and founder of the company Carl Rodrigues. Terming India as a strategic market in SOTI’s growth strategy he informs the Indian ecosystem is undergoing a monumental digital disruption and says they are uniquely positioned to execute on a connected enterprise mobility and IoT strategy.
“We have a deep focus on innovation, and this expansion is part of the company’s larger R&D growth strategy. SOTI is leading the way to the next generation of mobility management,” he adds.

Started in 1995, the Canada-based company opened its India office almost three years back with 70 employees and recently inaugurated its new Gurgaon office, making it the firms seventh global office.

The global enterprise mobility market has been pegged at USD 140 billion by 2020 — with APAC to grow by 21 percent according to a study by NASSCOM and Deloitte. As per Gartner’s 2016 Hype Cycle for ICT in India, improving a business’ competitiveness and operational efficiencies is the major driver for enterprises adopting EMM throughout the country. Along with the maturity of the solutions offered and functions becoming more standardized, even across industries, the adoption of EMM in India will continue to increase exponentially for another 5 to 10 years.
SOTI India’s managing director Adil Khan adds, “To answer why we chose India, because with our focus on emerging markets India features in our growth plan. We are very much aligned with India’s initiative and strategy.”
With the number of engineers (1.5 million) that India churns our every year, SOTI has every plan to make use of this talent pool Khan adds.

Over the span of three years, SOTI has been building its presence in the Indian market by building a robust channel ecosystem.

Apart from the seven global offices, SOTI has employees in more than 22 countries, with a reseller channel base of over 2,000 partners in 170 countries (which grew by 200 percent in the last 24 months).

During its 20-year history, SOTI has evolved from a one-man operation to a global enterprise, with 6 global offices, a workforce across 22 countries and a self-sustaining financial model.
